Cheap Summer Help

Cheap Summer Help consists entirely of local high school and college students.  All of our workers participate as independent contractors and are coordinated by three scheduling and accounting managers.  Each summer we attract as many as 5 times the workers we can accept, so only the most motivated and experienced students join our workforce.  These workers are not only interested in paying college expenses, they show entrepreneurial aspirations and plan to use Cheap Summer Help to bolster their professional business experience.  They are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality, most efficient and personable service possible.

Members of the 2010 workforce are from Sudbury, Wayland, Concord, Carlisle, Framingham and Wellesley, and attend Springfield College, Villanova, Layfayette, Denver University, Indiana University, UMass, Lehigh, Bates, High Point University and Brown University.

Cheap Summer Help’s managers spend the off season improving Cheap Summer Help with advice from customers, certified accountants, local industry leaders, experienced business managers and consultants, and our university business professors.  We are aspiring entrepreneurs, managers and accountants excited for our newest organizational structure and the business experience it will provide.  2010’s three-manager structure will allow us to serve more customers than ever before and provide even greater support to workers.

Evan is a rising junior at Saint Michael’s College where he is pursuing a Business and Accounting major and plays Lacrosse.  Evan is from Sudbury and graduated from Lincoln-Sudbury high school in 2008.  For the past three years, Evan has been an outstanding worker for Cheap Summer Help.  Prior to working with us, he was the assistant program director for an all boys’ summer camp, which included the responsibilities of overseeing staff, campers and all activities.  Evan is an energetic, enthusiastic leader, and is looking forward to developing new relationships with customers and leading CSH's workforce to the best summer yet.

A senior at Roanoke College in Virginia, Nick is pursuing a major in business with a minor in economics. Nick split his high school years between St. Thomas More Prep School in Connecticut and Wayland High School in Massachusetts. He played lacrosse at Roanoke, and now devotes his summer evenings to playing softball in the WayCo. Softball league. Upon graduation, Nick is hoping to secure a finance job here in Boston, and in the meantime is performing the accounting and customer satisfaction duties for Cheap Summer Help.

Ryan Payne is from Wayland, a 2007 graduate of Middlesex School in Concord, and now a rising senior at Colorado College.  This season will be Ryan's fourth summer with Cheap Summer Help and his third year leading our lawn mowing division.  Ryan gained his impressive mowing experience working on the grounds crew at Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland.  He is a very energetic and dedicated worker, who personally mows nearly every lawn.  If you need mowing for the entire summer, only for a few weeks during your vacation, or even just a one time job Ryan would love to help.

Jake Hardy is a senior Environmental Studies concentrator at Brown University.  Jake began landscaping during his freshman year in high school.  He worked three summers for a professional landscape construction and maintenance company, one year with the Town of Framingham Parks Maintenance Department, and for Cheap Summer Help as a worker, regional manger, lawn mowing coordinator and owner.  He has used this experience to prepare CSH for the best summer yet.  Jake will train workers, oversee manager scheduling, accounting and lawn mowing tasks, and constantly develop Cheap Summer Help.
